Minneapolis, Zadar to open their first international airport transfer facility

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis-Zadar International Airport announced today that it will begin leasing its first transfer facility for domestic passengers at the Vientiane Airport Transfer Center.

The airport will offer transfer locations in four countries, including Qatar, Canada, Argentina, and Italy.

The facility is the second international terminal at Minneapolis-Duluth International Airport to offer transfer, and it will be used to transfer passengers between the U.S. and five other countries.

“Minneapolis is a city of immigrants, and the transfer center is a symbol of our city’s diverse population,” Mayor Betsy Hodges said in a statement.

“It is an important step in opening the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport terminal to international travelers.

I look forward to welcoming international travelers and seeing what opportunities are created for the communities that we serve.

This new facility is part of our efforts to provide a welcoming environment for international travelers.”

The Minneapolis-Saint Paul International airport was the first international terminal in the U, and has been used by international airlines and the public since 1993.
